This month (April 2020) we will explore how to bend a of 1/4" x 3/4" along the thin edge. When bending this way you must control keeping it flat.

You will also be shown how forging along just one edge of the flat bar will make it bend away from the edge you are forging. This is a great demonstration of the fact that when forging, we do not remove any metal, we just move it to new places. As the metal thins along one side it causes that side to expand whereas the other side not being forged will not be expanding. The difference in the two side will cause the bar to curve away from the forged side.
