I've been looking to pick up a small gas forge. I see some on Amazon for what I appears to be pretty cheap. Does anyone have experience, good or bad, with "Hell's Forge" or any of the similar 1 or 2 burner Amazon knockoffs? If you have the "Hell's Forge", was applying the refractory coating much of an issue?

Do you have a welder? if you can weld you could build your own for the same price or cheaper. I made my own and even add forced air it's much more efficient than a venturi valve.

I have a 2 burner gas forge if you would like to try it out before you buy one just let me know I live in Pearland.
